Betterment offers two-factor authentication (2FA) as an additional layer of security to protect your account. Two-factor authentication requires you to enter a unique code in addition to your email address and password to log in to your account. This code can be sent to your phone via SMS or generated through an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy.
